Screening and initial selection of articles (Research Policy)

Screening and initial selection of articles is done in 2 to 3 days by the Editor-Chief of the journal. Then, the article sent to a specialized editor and he/she can select the appoints a reviewers. The reviewers must review the article within 24 days and send their comments to the specialized editor. The editor reviews the Reviewer's comments and sends them to the Editor-in-Chief.

General Information

Journal of Law and Political Studies was launched in 2021 by Sami Publishing Company (SPC). This double blind peer-reviewed a aim to provide a platform for researchers around the world to share their latest findings in all field of Law and Plotical Studies. The journal is Open Access with no article processing charges and all articles published in this journal are freely available for readers online at http://jlps.samipubco.com without a subscription and authors retain the copyright of their work.

Note 4: You must add all co-authors when you submit your manuscript. This ensures they are included in our production system and fully acknowledged in the published article.

Note 5: The author(s) will confirm that the manuscript (or any part of it) has not been published previously or is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Note 6:If paper accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language.

Note 7:Authors accept full responsibility for the factual accuracy of the data presented and should obtain any authorization necessary for publication.

Note 8:Authors are encouraged to suggest the names of several experts in the field when papers are first submitted or at any time in the evaluation process.

 Note 9:It is essential that authors prepare their manuscripts according to established specifications. Failure to follow them may result in papers being delayed or rejected.

Note 10: Manuscripts must be submitted by one of the authors of the manuscript, and should not be submitted by anyone on their behalf. The decision to accept a contribution rests with the Editorial Committee of the Journal of Law and Political Studies

Copyright

It is important to have a reasonable and defensible copyright and permissions policies in order to protect the rights of the authors and societies whom we serve. It is a condition of publication that, on acceptance of the article by the journal editor, copyright must be assigned to the publisher. An Assignment of Copyright Form will be issued with author proofs or can be downloaded from an individual journal’s instructions for authors.

If a manuscript is not accepted for publication or is withdrawn (Before Accept), the transfer of the copyright to the Journal of Law and Political Studies  included in the Journal Publishing Agreement is automatically canceled. Reproduction of the text, figures, or tables of this journal is allowed only by permission of the Editorial Committee.

Templates

Templates are provided in order to allow authors to view their paper in a style close to the final printed form. The template is only intended to be used in assisting with the preparation and submission of manuscripts. It should be noted that the use of the journal template is not a requirement and its adoption will neither speed nor delay publication.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts for Original Research Papers submitted to the Journal of Law and Political Studies  should be divided into the following sections:

• Title
• Authors' Names and Affiliations
• Abstract
• Keywords
• Introduction
• Results and Discussion
• Conclusion
• Acknowledgments
• References

Title

-The title should be concise and accurately reflect the content. The title should capture important keywords.

Author names and affiliations

Please clearly indicate the given first name(s) and surname(s) of each author and check that all names are accurately spelled.

The names and addresses of the institution(s) where the work was performed should be listed immediately below the author names.

The name of the corresponding author(s) should be marked with an asterisk (*) and provide his or her e-mail address on this page 1.    

Author affiliations should include complete information, including institution, department, city and country.

Abstract

-The abstract should be a clear, concise, one-paragraph synopsis (100–300 words) and placed directly after the title and author information. It should indicate the subject and scope of the review, listing the major topics covered, as well as the overall objectives. The abstract should be self-contained for direct use in Chemical Abstracts or other secondary services.

Keyword

-The keyword should be a maximum of 3-6 keywords.

Introduction

-The Introduction, usually one or two manuscript pages, should state precisely the purpose and goals of the review and its scope and limitations, as well as the years of literature covered.  Historical material and references to earlier pertinent reviews, as well as a limited amount of material of personal or anecdotal nature, may be included. Date and location of the research carried out throughout the study must be mentioned at the end of this section.Preferred file types: TIFF, JPEG, PDF or MS Office files.

Results and Discussion

The Results section should describe the outcome of the study. Data should be presented as concisely as possible - if appropriate in the form of tables or figures, although very large tables should be avoided. The Discussion should be an interpretation of the results and their significance with reference to work by other authors. Please note that the policy of the Journal with respect to units and symbols is that of SI symbols.

- Tables

Do not submit tables and graphs as photograph. Tables should be set within the text. Do not use internal horizontal and vertical rules. Tables should be set within the text and should have a clear and rational structure along with consecutive numerical order. All tables should be numbered (1, 2, 3, etc.). Give enough information in subtitles so that each table is understandable without reference to the text. For each table, please supply a table caption (title) explaining the components of the table. Identify any previously published material by giving the original source in the form of a reference at the end of the table caption. Tables should be with the captions placed above in limited numbers.

Footnotes to tables should be indicated by superscript lower-case letters (or asterisks for significance values and other statistical data) and included beneath the table body.

- Figures

Figures/ illustrations should be in high quality art work, within 200-300 dpi and provided in the text. Ensure that figures are clear, labeled, and of a size that can be reproduced legibly in the journal. Figures should be set within the text. Following remarks should be applied to the figures:

- Each Figure should have a concise caption describing accurately what the figure depicts. Include the captions in the text file of the manuscript, not in the figure file.

- Figure captions begin with the term Fig. Figures should be with the captions placed below in limited numbers.

- No punctuation is to be placed at the end of the caption. 

- Identify all elements found in the figure in the figure caption; and use boxes, circles, etc., as coordinate points in graphs.

- Identify previously published material by giving the original source in the form of a reference citation at the end of the figure caption.

Conclusion

This section should highlight the major, firm discoveries, and state what the added value of the main finding is, without literature references.

References

1. References contain article titles.
2. References are mentioned consecutively in order of appearance in the text.
3. All references referred to in the text are included in the list of references.
4. The references cited are current and up-to-date.
5. All references are formatted according to the style of the journal (APA style).
6. Personal communications or unpublished observations, if really needed, are not included as references.
7. The number of references in the review paper preferred to be not contain less than 120; for original research paper or case report not less than 40 and for short communication 20 references are required.
8. The majority of manuscript references must not be extracted from a single journal. The acceptable average can be indicated at most 5 references from each journal.

Manuscript Charge

Manuscripts that are submitted to the Journal of Law and Political Studies during 2021-2023 will not be subject to any Article Processing Charges for  authors.

Color charges

Authors should restrict their use of color to situations where it is necessary on scientific, and not merely cosmetic, grounds. Color figures will be reproduced in color in the online edition of the journal free of charge. If it is necessary for the figures to be reproduced in coloring in the print version, a charge will apply.

 Proof correction

Corresponding authors will receive an e-mail contains the copyright form and the galley proof file. All instructions for proofing will be given in the e-mail we send to the authors. We will do everything possible to get your article published quickly and accurately - please upload all of your corrections and the signed copyright letter within 72 hours. It is important to ensure that all corrections are sent back to us in one communication. Please check carefully before replying, as the inclusion of any subsequent corrections cannot be guaranteed. Proofreading is solely your responsibility.

Note that Journal of Law and Political Studies may proceed with the publication of your article if no response is received.

The average time between submission and final decision is eight weeks and the average time between acceptance and publication is three weeks.
